XICH held an exchange activity with the Guangzhou Cultural Centre on 14 December on its Tai Po campus, aiming to foster cultural exchange and the inheritance of xiqu and intangible cultural heritage (ICH).

The Centre held a seminar to release the survey results of audiences’ views on Cantonese Opera Performances in Hong Kong, hoping to propose relevant suggestions for the industry to comprehensively expand the audience and increase the rate of attendance of Cantonese Opera performances so that this precious local art and culture can be inherited from generation to generation.

The Centre held a ceremony today (6 February) to present the ‘Cantonese Opera Teaching Awards for Hong Kong Music Teachers 2022’. The awards were given in recognition of outstanding music teachers’ dedication to promoting Cantonese opera through innovative teaching.
